Reconstruction and Furnishing of 35 Individual Homes in the Territory of Mirditë Municipality

The project for the reconstruction of individual homes in areas affected by the earthquake aims to build low-cost, energy-efficient houses, offering a functional and sustainable solution for communities in need. The housing typologies include single-story models with 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms, with respective areas of 70 m², 80 m², and 105.1 m². The buildings are constructed with reinforced concrete and brick, thermally insulated with a capot system, and covered with a steel roof featuring thermal insulation. Each house features a front veranda as the entrance, while the interior spaces are compact and functionally divided, including a fully equipped kitchen, living room, and bathroom. The front and back yards connect to green spaces and a small agricultural garden that supports residents' self-sustaining food production. Facades are treated with various colors from a defined palette, using natural materials and shading elements for sun protection. This project aims not only to provide safe and dignified housing but also to promote a sustainable way of living.
